Aeries SIS

San Lorenzo Unified School District uses the Aeries Student Information System (SIS) for a lot more than taking and reporting attendance and reporting grades. Virtually every service and communication the District provides is dependent on accurate input and output from Aeries.

Each stakeholder group has its own portal for accessing Aeries:

  • Aeries Teacher Portal https://teacherportal.slzusd.k12.ca.us
    Teachers use Aeries Teacher Portal to take attendance, issue report cards. Elementary teachers are starting to  use the standards-based Aeries Gradebook.  Most secondary teachers are transitioning to the Aeries Gradebook because it integrates with Google Classroom and makes grade reporting easier.
  • Aeries.net https://do-aeries-net.slzusd.k12.ca.us
    Staff that do not have assigned classes but need access to contact, attendance, grades, and discipline information access Aeries through Aeries.net.  (Now that Aeries is moving away from Aeries Client Server (CS), CS will be phased out in late July, 2018.)
  • Aeries Family Portal https://parentportal.slzusd.k12.ca.us
    Students and parent-guardians can stay on top of attendance and grades through the Aeries Parent/Family Portal website or app.

Aeries.net for Administrators and Office Staff

Aeries Client Server will be discontinued in July 2018, as it will not be rolled over for the 2018-19 school year.

As announced previously, Aeries is moving away from Aeries Client Server to fully develop Aeries.net.  All staff are encouraged to discontinue logging in to Aeries Client Server so they take access all Aeries features through Aeries.net. Aeries.net is web-based and can be accessed from any computer within our District network.  IT will no longer install Client Server directly to user's computer.

Aeries Teacher Portal

Teachers have been using the Aeries Teacher Portal for reporting attendance, posting end of term and progress report grades.  Aeries Gradebook is also available through the Teacher Portal, and is all set up to integrate with Google Classroom.  Take a look at the "Aeries-Google Classroom-Blocksi - Gradebook Work Flow" handout for more information.

Remember, for security purposes Aeries requires you to change your password every 12 months.

 

Aeries User Group Meetings

Aeries User Group Meetings are planned to keep all school clerical staff informed about Aeries updates, collect feedback in a group setting for collaborative problem solving, and professional development.  Here are the meeting dates for 2017-18:

  • Wednesday, September 27
  • Wednesday, December 13
  • Wednesday, February 14
  • Wednesday, April 25

Meetings are held in the IMTC Training Room.  Choose between Morning Session: 8:00-9:15 am or Afternoon Session 2:15-3:30
