What is Rosetta Stone?
Rosetta Stone allows us to provide the perfect opportunity for our learners to experience self-paced language learning and monitoring for success. Additionally, it allowed the integration of technology and capitalized on student interests."Language connects us all, laying the groundwork for learning and growth. For an increasingly diverse student population, language can also be the key to achievement, in school and beyond.
How to Access Rosetta Stone
San Lorenzo USD is connected to Rosetta Stone through Canvas. To join the EDU account, click on the Rosetta Stone button inside your Canvas Course or through a Module.
Sign in through a web browser
- After installing and updating the Learn Languages application, open a web browser on your device and navigate to your organization’s LMS (Learning Management System) platform. (Ex. Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, EBSCO)
- Click the option on your LMS platform to launch Rosetta Stone. This will automatically redirect you to your organization's Rosetta Stone portal.
- When you tap “Launch Rosetta Stone,” the program will ask if you would like to "open this page in "Rosetta Stone"?". Tap "Open" and you will automatically be redirected to the mobile app and signed in!

- Best Practices: how to set up expectations, and ideas to implement the program.
- Teacher resources - language agnostic activity guide, headset setup guides, student progress tracker, scope and sequence, image cards, learner agreement, certificate of accomplishment, quick start at-home guide, language specific resources (teacher’s guides, workbooks, quizzes, tests, etc)
- Course contents - index of phrases and vocabulary taught in each level of the program.
- Supplemental Educational Materials: Deep dive video into all the resources available to teachers & some ideas on how to utilize them in a remote environment.
- Benchmarking and Grading Tool - Excel spreadsheet that allows you to set metrics and calculate grades for your learners with ease.
