| Parking Lots: |
Please use the parking area across from Thoits Street for drop-off/pick-up. Families may
drop-off students in the marked area along the fence. When dropping your child/children off
in the parking lot drop-off zone, please pull forward to the sidewalk and fence. Avoid
stopping in front of the gate because this causes traffic back ups. Never leave your car
unattended in the designated drop-off zone.
Families are NOT to use the staff parking lot located directly behind the Multi-Purpose
Room. This area has been designated for STAFF ONLY. Please do not drop-off/pick-up
students in this lot.

| Child Pick-up and Drop-off Procedures: |
To ensure traffic safety for our students and to avoid traffic concerns, please follow these
procedures:
- Park your car and walk your children to and from the front of the school.
- Use the pick-up and drop-off zone along the fence in the public parking lot across
from Thoits Street.
- If dropping off your children across the street from the school, have them use the
crosswalk to enter the Dayton School campus.
- Drive slowly and safely Ð under 20mph around the school and 5mph when
entering/exiting the parking lot.
- Always obey the direction of the crossing guards and staff assisting in traffic
control.
- Do not stop or park in the bus zone (area within the orange cones) directly in front
of the school.
- Do not leave your car unattended in front of the school or in the drop-off zone in
the parking lot across from Thoits Street.
- Pull over to the curb before you have your children enter or exit your car.
NEVER allow the children to enter or exit your car in the middle of the street.
Find a safe place, pull over, and park before letting student exit on the curb side of
the car.
