Transferring your files to the server
When you are happy with your web pages on your local drive, you will need to upload them to the server. There are many ways to do this, we like to use Filezilla because it is very visual, simple and free. Filezilla is a FTP program (file transfer protocol).
Download the software

- click "download filezilla client"
- click on FileZilla_3.0.10_win32-setup.exe to download it
(note: the "_3.0.10" part in the file name keeps changing as new versions are posted, "FileZilla_3.0.10_win32-setup.exe" is the version as of 06/9/08)
Install on your local drive
find the file you just downloaded on your drive and double-click it.
- Answer the questions in the install procedure: agree to license agreement, click "next" in the 3 following windows, click "install", click "close"
- Delete FileZilla_x.x.xx_win32-setup.exe (yes, this is the file that you downloaded and which you double-clicked on)
Configure
there should now be a filezilla icon on your desktop, double-click it
the program opens a window that looks like this:

Choose the menu item File/Site manager. the following window opens:
- in the site manager window, click on "new site"
- hilite "new site" and rename it
