Parents Information

Dear Hillside Families:

On behalf of the entire staff, I want to welcome parents, guardians and students to a new year at Hillside Elementary School. We look forward to working with you and your children.

This packet contains important district and school policies and information. Please take time to carefully read the documents. Many papers require your signature. The Code of Conduct Agreement and Parent Pledge in the handbook, need to be signed by parent and child. Please return ALL the signed documents by August 28, 2008 .

School Schedule August 25 through August 29
Monday - Friday
Kindergarten 8:00 AM - 1:05 PM
Grades 1-5 8:00 AM - 1:05 PM

Regular School Hours for the 2008-2009 school year begin on Sept. 2nd (No School on Sept. 1st)
Mondays, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:
Kindergarten 8:00 AM - 1:35 PM
Grades 1-5 8:00 AM - 2:31 PM

Every Wednesday is scheduled as a Common Planning Time for teachers.
Hillside's Common Planning Time will begin on Wednesday, August 27th

Grades 1-5 8:00 AM - 1:05 PM

All completed student registrations which are received by Thursday, August 21st at noon will have a classroom assignment posted on Friday, August 22nd. Please return additional information promptly as requested.

Important: Please do not send your children to school before 7:30 AM as there is no supervision prior to this time.
Please do not park in the STAFF ONLY parking lot.

When children are dismissed at the end of the day, they are to go directly home or to childcare at that time. They are not to remain at school as there is no supervision after dismissal. Thank you for adjusting your schedule to assist us with the care and welfare of your child.
