As part of our ongoing efforts to improve technology access and equity for our students, we have compiled a range of resources for parents on this page. As a 2:1 school district, we are pleased to provide students with access to both a Chromebook laptop at home and one in the classroom. This helps to ensure that all students have the tools they need to fully participate in their education. Additionally, we encourage parents to get more involved in their student's learning experience through the use of Canvas, a powerful learning management system. We hope these resources are helpful in supporting your student's education and success.
What is Canvas?
Digital learning relies heavily on the use of a learning management system (LMS) to facilitate communication, collaboration, and access to resources between teachers and students. An LMS is an online platform that serves as a centralized hub for posting and receiving assignments, quizzes, discussions, and projects. It is also where teachers can provide ongoing feedback to students and communicate learning progress to families. By utilizing an LMS, teachers, and students can stay connected and engage with course materials and activities in a convenient and efficient manner.
Canvas is San Lorenzo Unified School District's official learning management system.

E-Learning Tools & Educational Resources
The San Lorenzo Unified School District is committed to providing teachers with the resources and tools they need to effectively engage and educate their students. As such, many teachers incorporate online resources and tools into their classrooms, making these resources accessible to students from any location with an Internet connection.
We encourage parents to ask their children about how technology is being integrated into their classroom curriculum and assignments. Not only can this help parents stay informed about their child's education, but it can also provide an opportunity for children to share their knowledge and skills with their parents. By encouraging your child to show you these tools and resources, you can help to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the role that technology plays in their education.
Digital media can be an excellent tool for reinforcing concepts and increasing engagement in the classroom. To support teachers in their efforts to incorporate digital media into their teaching, the San Lorenzo Unified School District has compiled a list of recommended multimedia resources. These resources offer a wide range of audio, video, and interactive content that can be used to enhance student learning and engagement. We encourage all educators to explore these resources and consider incorporating them into their lessons. By leveraging the power of digital media, you can create a more dynamic and engaging learning experience for your students.
