Keeping Our Kids Safe

Safety is a top priority!

We've identified some key resources to help families keep their kids safe.

District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)

The San Lorenzo Unified School District supports the participation of all parents in their children’s educational experience, including the parent of English Learners. The District’s goal is to empower parents to support and meet their children’s educational needs, encouraging parent participation in both district level such as the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) and school level committees such as the English Learner Advisory Committees (ELAC). These committees provide parents with educational information as well as an opportunity to participate in an Open Forum where questions and concerns can be discussed. For more the complete handbook and more information, please visit our District DELAC webpage.

Internet Safety and Access

Internet safety and access is very important to families.

  • Internet Safety Resources:
The best way to keep kids safe online is to talk to them.  Below are some rules and a pledge for students and parents to sign to help have the conversation.  You don't need to know everything about technology to support your students using technology in a positive pay.  Please also review the above parent resources to help you understand what it looks like to see students using their mobile devices, social media and internet time effectively.
  • Access:
List of locations with computers and wireless access
  • Tech Tools for Continuous Learning
All of the subscriptions and electronic learning resources that the District has purchased are available 24/7 on any device that has Internet.  For more details, please visit our "Family Technology Resources" website in the "For Families" section.
