The Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) is a consortium of school districts that serve the common needs of their students. San Lorenzo Unified School District is a member of the MAC-SELPA which includes the Hayward, Castro Valley, and San Leandro Unified School Districts. The MAC-SELPA is responsible for ensuring that all students have full educational opportunity regardless of their district of residence within the SELPA.
